Recycled Wool Sweater, Toddler Sized

This is a former ladies' fair isle cardigan.  I felted (shrunk) it, resized the sides, and sewed up where the button placket used to be.
 I added a couple of decorative buttons at the neck opening.
Good to go in under 30 minutes, and loads cheaper than store a bought wool sweater.  I'm sure this is what our grandmothers and their grandmothers did when something wore out in the family :)  What are you making over these days?

Cute! How did the shoulders fit her? That's the part I can never get right.

This is beautiful. Don't wear much wool here in California. Need our raincoats this week. We refashioned a lightweight fleece from old navy. I will send you a pic!

I made my son a hoodie jacket from a merino wool sweater, & it's the only thing he doesn't overheat in when he's running around. Gotta love wool! Here's his jacket:
