Rainy Days and Mondays Skirt

These prints are from Riley Blake's Rainy Days and Mondays line:

How cute are those umbrellas and rain drops?

And I have a favorite new hem.  It's simply bias tape around the bottom.

Check out how neat it looks from inside!  Often I just serge the edge and fold under for a hem, or if I'm feeling ambitious, I'll do a double fold.  Here I did the double fold, then the bias tape.

I really wish they'd put out some of this fabric as a laminate so that I could make raincoats for my kids!

This looks like a super easy skirt. I have a 7 month old and 8 yr. old I would like to make a skirt for. Is there an easy sizing I can use?

I'd just attach the bias tape without doing anything else to the hem.

Cute little skirt. Perfect for spring, I'd think. But maybe that's because spring comes with lots of rain around here :-)

Did you finish the top part with a casing and elastic?
