Some Goodness Going Around

Some goodness has been going around...

See those new buttons under my header?  Courtesy of Melissa at Until Wednesday Calls.  I can't thank her enough - this is something I couldn't have made on my own.  Now you can more easily see my posts by group, or read about me in the FAQ.  She also made that lovely header for me.  In return, I was able to share some fabric and clothing with Melissa, and we will continue to conspire on the next round of Sew What.  It will run mid-October to mid-November.  More details to come:

I put out the call for some knitting, and a U.K. knitter agreed to swap.  I sent this little dress and bloomers off to her last week:
Of course, they're:

Then I met Andrea from Australia who was looking for something from my local area.  I happily sent what she needed, then last night I found this pdf pattern in my inbox, courtesy of Andrea.  How sweet!

I did some pattern testing for Leisel at Brown Paper Packages and we struck up a blogger friendship.  Leisel is a talented crafter and a generous person - she hosts more giveaways than anyone I know.  One day I came home to find my mailbox full of these lovely fabrics and trims from her corner of the world:

And Stacey at Stari Designs in the U.S. contacted me to trade.  She made a dress for my daughter in exchange for pants for her son.  Try as I may, I couldn't get a good shot of uncooperative Little V modelling the lovely dress Stacey created for her.  It's Stari Design's Signature Dress:
Amazing colors!
She snuck a little extra in the package for me.  This freezer-paper stencil shirt is Big Sister approved:
In exchange, she sent me some photos of my pants on her model:

Then Stacey had another great idea - she and I are teaming up for the Grand Finale Giveaway for my month-of-September Dork-A-Thon.  Stari Designs will mastermind the first half our giveaway outfit, then she will send it to me in Canada and I will design the second part.  We'll offer an entire outfit at the end of the month to one lucky winner and pssst it will be boy-inspired!  Pop on over to her website for some sneak peeks at her work.

Finally, I have to thank DMK Easy Wear.  I've sewn up a couple of their reversible pdf children's patterns and blogged about them recently.  I won some more patterns recently in their Best Pattern Maker's contest, then to put icing on the cake I was chosen to test a new pattern The Warm Hoodie Vest:

Do something nice for someone, get something nice in return.  If you have been toying with the idea of trading, I highly recommend it!
