The Village Frock Revisited

You still have time to enter the DMK pdf pattern giveaway.  Scroll down, or click HERE.

The most beautiful dress pattern ev-er, Sugar City's Village Frock.
Here's my second go-round:
I used mismatched silver buttons at the neck, as well as a mix of fabrics.

My first attempt at this dress was last summer with linen and wooden buttons. Same dress, whole different look:

There has been some blog buzz lately that this out-of-print pattern is in hot demand.  If you have one of the 2008 Village Frock patterns that you'd like to sell, I noticed that the Village Frock Flickr page has a list of potential buyers.  The Flickr page itself is eye candy.

And if you really like the frock, check back with me in a few days.  I have something up my sleeve.

I read about this recently @ From An Igloo. With such demand, why would they not bring it back into print? Even as a PDF? I don't know anything about the pattern biz myself so....

Oh yeah and love the dress. Both colour combos, but the blue and white is really striking.

I am one of those poor schmucks who didn't order it when it was available (I was planning on making my girls' Christmas dresses with it, so I thought I'd order it later in the year).

If you have one that needs a new home, I promise to put it to good use. Pretty please.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this pattern, and, of course, I didn't come across it until it was no longer available. :( I would be so happy to get my hands on this pattern. If you know of a way I could get one, I would be so appreciative.
Your versions are stunning!!!!! I especially love the linen one.

Amazing how the different types of fabric make such different dresses. Love both fabric combos--you have such a knack with that! I am curious as to what's up your sleeve..... oh boy!

Usually the pattern looks great in solids but somehow you managed to make this very well in print. Well done!
