Made For You - Reader's Choice Giveaway (closed)

Recently, I was the lucky winner of an inspired giveaway from The Mrs.
all the way over in the Netherlands.  She said she'd make me anything my heart desired.  And she did!
We shared ideas about colors and styles, and she dreamed up this lovely tunic which arrived in a fabulous package (on my birthday no less).  See me smile!
THE GIVEAWAY:   I want to pay it forward.  I'll make the winner of this giveaway a garment of their choosing.  Maybe it's something you've seen here on my blog, or maybe it will be something unique.  We can talk color and style, then I'll put something together just for you.  Unlike The Mrs., I am not totally confident in my sewing skills for adults (too many curvy parts that I can't meet up with you to measure.  If you don't believe me, refer to my post about my husband's pants with the hilarious 4 inch wide fly), therefore I'd be much obliged if you asked me to make something for children or for the household.

TO ENTER:  Giveaway open to anyone, anywhere.  Simply leave a comment below.  Be sure to leave your email address if it is not publicly accessible on your profile, especially since I am having a big Blogger headache and many comments don't make it to my email inbox anymore.  A winner will be choosen via Random.org on Friday August 6, 2010.

I know what you mean about sewing clothes for adults! Children (and curtains!) are much more forgiving :) I sewed myself some maternity tops that turned out ginormous. Something for my toddler would be great :) I'll have to think about what he needs.

Melissa said...

Wow Cynthia, this is fantastic! I look forward to further posts, no matter who wins!

I LOVE that tunic! I have been thinking about a dress for my daughter for Thanksgiving. I know a long time from now but I'm not the best at sewing so I need plenty of time. Maybe if I win I could have you make one instead. ;)

How fun! I love you style and creativity=)

Cynthia, I am so happy you like the tunic. And I think it looks lovely with that gorgeous smile of yours above it :-)

And what a great, great idea to pay the giving forward. I feel honoured that I inspired this!

I would love to join in this giveaway, but somehow it feels like I would break the paying it forward chain that way, so please don't count me in. Whenever you'll do a giveaway like this again, I'll come running, I promise! ;-)

What a great idea for a giveaway! I have been wanting to make one of your double pillowcase totebags but haven't found the time (or the pillowcases) to do one. I would pick one of those if I won. Thanks for the opportunity.

Casey said...

Oh pick me, pick me! I'm horrible at sewing things for my daughter, I try but I'm just not so great and don't have tons of time to practice. I made a top for her once that she looked at and then just turned around and walked away...it couldn't have been THAT bad....ok it was THAT bad. :)

You are one incredible lady! I don't know how you do it. I just can't seem to get the energy to sew for one of my three kiddo's. I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old. My poor 15 year old begs for me to sew her something simple like the tank dress. I would be thrilled to have that happen. Thank you!
