A Fiesta For the Eyes

I went a little color crazy.

There are nearly three yards of fabric in this thing!

I was afraid it weighed more than my toddler, so I tried one version with a slimmer underskirt.
But I prefer the potential of the fuller skirts for twirling. That's her reluctant twirl. Can you say spoil sport?

Darling! I'm inspired...might use four yards of fabric...if it will slow my DD down a bit!

I love that first photo. And where do you get the time to sew? I don't function well after 9pm so it is rare I sew into the night, too much seam ripping has been known to happen. Yay for twirly skirts!

LOL- Why aren't kids the perfect little models we know they can be when the camera's not on???? :) I love the black & white contrast with the colors. :) Very cute.

Those are super cute. I always loved full skirts I could twirl in when I was a kid.

Great job on the skirts, love all the layers and prints. Wish I had documented the years of skirts and dresses I made my daughter when she was little. I so enjoy your blog~ it brings back such sweet memories :) xo

So cute! I wish I have a little girl.. I have a little boy, but I doubt he will like me making a skirt for him. LOL! Just kidding! :)

Adorable. I love the apron part! And that non-twirl is all too familiar around here :)
