Did Pioneers Eat Their Young?

Winter is scenic...
But it's really, really cold...
And this year it's L-O-N-G... Which leads me to wonder: trapped in a tiny cabin, snowbound, without Gymboree or the local pool to drop in to with their eleven children, did pioneers eat their young?

I have to admit, I thought about eating mine and we have a nice sized house.
Really I think that they were busy with chores, you know churning butter, spinning wool, knitting socks, making quilts, hunting for food, making bread from scratch, etc. If you eat you kids then who would do all that work? LOL

Hang in there, spring is coming!

I had a few moments of cannibalistic thoughts myself this past weekend - we had SNOW here in Texas, 14"!! *shock and awe*

It would have been loads more fun if we had had electricity at the same time. Oh baby...four days of freezing temperatures, snow like my children have never seen before in their lives, and NO HEAT except for the fireplace. And NO DRYER to dry snow-wet jackets, mittens, and jeans.

Sigh. It has warmed up, the snow has melted and the children are safe back at school.

You crack me up :) If it weren't for "open gym" at the local gymnastics center I would probably lose my mind.

Ah...how one's persepctive can spiral down in the clasp of winter ... guess that's why bears hiberate. I hope posting this humor shot you right into another orbit and provided the day's cure.
