Many of you said nice things about this dress I
made (left), so I've created a similar one for this giveaway. Oh, I could wax poetic and say that the peasant style is age-old, but truthfully this giveaway dress is made from Sandi Henderson's 2009 Portobello Pixie Claire sewing pattern. 2009 isn't exactly vintage, huh? The sleeve/hem fabric reminds me of tin ceiling tiles from the 1930s though...
It is a size 3T and ankle length. Because it is shirred and elasticized, it would easily fit a size 2T or 4 as well. The main dress fabric is a very lightweight gauze, so I lined the entire dress. Pre-washed for shrinkage; machine wash and dry.
TO ENTER: Giveaway open to everyone (overseas too. I know it's the middle of summer in Australia). To enter, leave a comment below this post. Followers can enter twice - simply leave a second post telling me you are a follower. I was going to use Random.org as usual, but my 12 year old daughter said, "Please Mom, can't I pick the winner for once?!" I nearly fell over when she said please. So there you have it. Your fate is in the hands of a Nickelback fan.
Giveaway open until the evening of Saturday January 9th, 2010. And thanks everyone. This blogging thing turned out to be far more fun than I'd have thought!
