Uh-Oh Poop - A Giveaway (closed)

Little V will turn two in a few months, and she's become intensely interested in all things potty. My husband will be mortified that I'm announcing this to the general public: we often leave the door open to the bathroom so she can see that everybody pees and everybody poops, hoping to make the whole training concept easy when the time comes. If you dare to go into a bathroom at my house, V will announce "Uh-oh poop!", even if you are just there to brush your teeth.

She's also interested in nurturing her teddies and dolly (good lord, if I have to pretend to breastfeed those stuffed animals one more time...) so making up some dolly/ bear diapers was a no brainer. All you need are some little flannel scraps and velcro. Here's where my husband is really going to be appalled: I also made some diaper doublers (liners for cloth diapers which are intended to catch the messy poop and save the expensive cloth diaper) with "poop" on them. I just used brown thread to stitch a brown smudge on the liner. Call me crazy, but Little V loves them! She lines up all the "dirty" diapers on the couch and changes her doll and bears. Of course, she gets to shout "Uh-oh poop!" the whole time she's playing.

If you have a doll in your house that might need changing too, I've put together a little giveaway. One lucky doll will receive a flannel diaper (no poopy liner, I promise!), several little-hand sized diaper wipes, a wet-bag with (what else) - a dolly on it, and a sweater and skirt that coordinate with the diaper just incase dolly likes to hang upside down at the playground.
*Please note the little buttons I've sewn on the sweater and skirt. The Safety Commission probably has a warrant out for my arrest already. Feel free to remove them if your little one is underage for buttons.

I had this great Olivia The Pig flannel for the diapers. The stack of wipes are a mix of flannel and minky dot.

One knit sweater and one Swiss Miss skirt with a tiny little pocket.

TO ENTER: Simply leave a comment at the end of this post, and feel free to use the word poop to crack me up! I'll choose one winner via Random.org on Sunday November 15th and mail out your package in plenty of time for the holidays. If you aren't the winner this time around, check back soon. I'm in a giving mood this month - getting excited for Christmas!

I think my GRANDSON would love this! His daddy would probably "POOP" his pants LOL, but I think it's important for boys to experience nurturing play as well as all the "boy" stuff!
He's 20 months old this month.

You are SO lucky your 2 yr old has such an interest in potty training! Here's how it goes in my house : She squats, I say "Lets go on the potty!" she says "NOOO, I CAN'T" **30 sec. later**

"Mommy, I stinky, it's the poop"

Maybe I'll win this awesome give away and the diaper for her baby will push her toward the potty!!

I'm entering - this is genius! We use kleenex and scotch tape as doll diapers in our house, so ghetto, right?

I love it, if I don't get one with poop, I'll have to sew my own in! I'm sorry about breastfeeding the stuffed crowd. My daugher "takes care" of that part herself. One night after she went to bed, she got out of bed, had her jammies zipped down to her ankles and her baby at her breast. She didn't say a word, just wanted to show off. . . I almost pooped

That set is so ADORABLE! What a wonderful gift idea for a little girl. Mine has just started really playing with her dolls in a nurturing, mothering way. It is so fun to watch her take care of their "owies" and change their clothes for bed.

We had some good success with the book "Everybody Poops" when we started with the potty training.

my little girl would love these. she has seven babies, and all of them use the potty, nurse, and nap with her. they are seriously in need of clothes and diapers, though. paper napkins often serve as stand-ins.

thanks!

eee, so cute!
My dd2 was PHYSICALLY and MENTALLY quite ready to potty train but she just DID NOT WANT TO. diapers are easier. i get it. So I just left her butt-nekkid on bottoms for a few days and she potty trained her own good self. ha.
You can tell we're very much in the middle of potty training in my house because when I go to the washroom (with door open, cos everybody poops) she hollers BIG GIRL MOMMY. BIG GIRL. YOU PEED, OR POOPED? BIG GIRL! GOOD JOB!
Best is when a friend come over and DD2 waited outside the door to holler BIG GIRL RIA. YOU POOP? BIG GIRL! bahaha.

As the mother of two boys ages 9, & 7, we have managed to get past the potty (going to the bathroom)talk, but for some reason, they remain fascinated with "potty talk" ( all the poop and stuff that happens in the bathroom!) Ah, BOYS! Now I have a little darlin' 14 month old little girl who has just discovered baby dolls. I think she would love having diapers and dolls! (We also have an open door policy for the bathroom while her big brothers are at school. How else is she supposed to learn?) Love your blog!

poopilicous! My friend's wee girl loves changing her baby, but her paper play nappy is nothing on these. Think her mum will faint at the brown messy liners, but hubbie and the wee one would love it

My daughter LOVES potty issues right now. She often makes me change her poopy baby first, before she will let me do her diaper. She always says "Mommy, I'm poopy-woopy!"

Wow! What fun give away items! Maybe if I win my little poop, I mean girl, will quit pulling out all the real wipes and leaving them all over the house.

My daughter would absolutely LOVE for me to win this. Every doll & stuffed animal at our house has at least one bowel movement per day, upon which my daughter promptly brings them to me - puts her nose to their backside, sniffs, gives a grossed out look and says, "Mommy - I think she's poopy, we need to change her". How fun it would be for her to have diapers for all of her friends!

Adorable! I'm in the process of making some diapers for Ally's baby doll Elephant. What a great idea to include a wet bag and wipes as well.
I'd really never worried about Elephant not having diapers but the other day Allyson looked at her as she was changing her out of her jammies (which are just a premie baby outfit I refashioned for the doll) and said..."Mommy, Elephant has no diaper or panties"
