Calling All Suggestions

The little girl in me likes little girl things, so this Sheryl Rae Marquez fabric caught my eye. I made Baby V a crib quilt using this fabric for the backing. She carries the blanket everywhere and calls it "Kids" (er, "Tids" to be exact because she can't pronounce the 'K').

Dolly had to have herself a blanket too.

Prior to finding the cotton fabric (my favorite), I had mail ordered this similar print in polar fleece. My original idea was to line a linen coat with it for Baby, but I've been humming and hawing. Does anyone have a good suggestion for the fleece? I've got a yard of it and would love some inspiration.

Hey! I like the idea of lining a coat/jacket with it! The print is adorable. Carry the fleece to the outside of the jacket with a contrasting collar and cuffs, and make a little hat to match. An added benefit of contrasting cuffs is that they can be rolled down in to cover little wrists when it's still freezing in March and Baby Girl has grown three inches since Christmas!

This fabric is so adorable - wouldn't the cotton fabric make a most excellent lining for a handbag?

i suggest... you mail it to meeee~! O: ;)
I agree, if you use it to line something do it with rollover cuffs. And a hood! Definitely with a hood, so you can see the baby dolls. Then you can do lots of show-off-ing.
Or you could do a bunting bag. 1 yard of polarfleece will make two bunting bags big enough to fit a toddler. True story. And I mean Alberta is no Manitoba but I'm sure it gets cold enough to justify a bunting bag now and then in the winter ;D LOL

You could cut out a dolly... back it with a solid fleece, stuff it and voila... a stuffed tid ; )

You could make her a nice long nightgown. I am sure it is going to get cold and a nice snuggly nightgown would be so nice. (the old fashioned kind with a yoke and gathers and lace at the end of long sleeves.)

What about another blanket? I have problems deciding when the fabric is super adorable. I always think that if I make some clothes out of it they will outgrow it so fast that the fabric won't be around for long. I clearly have issues with fabrics lol. I use my very favorite fabrics for blankets or quilts so they will be around for a long time for us to enjoy. :)

Make a cape or a poncho, those things last for years and are great for dress up too! I think you should cut a few dolls out of the scraps and glue her to a felt board and make her (doll) felt clothes she can add on. Ya know, just like a paper doll 'cept more durable
